Style Memories: NYC

I have taken a couple of looks from this series from my time in NYC, I defiantly felt exceptionally comfortable there. I love how the vibe changes from each neighbourhood, as you move from the grunge of the west village, to the laid back streets of soho up to the prim upper east side the city changes before your eyes.

I defiantly related to the street style of soho, it was just so simple and easy, like they had woken up and threw it on and I LOVE THAT.
As cringe as it sounds, it was a defining fashion moment for me as I realised as much as I would love to be perfectly turned out every day with a beautiful blow out and a cat eye, it's just not me (I like a lie in) well at least 360 days of the year... but Soho told me that was OK. So in true downtown style, I took these photos In Brooklyn overlooking the skyline on the most b-e-a-utifully crystal clear day.

For this outfit threw on my ripped jeans, battered well loved converse, brandy melville top (which I discovered on my first trip to NYC at 16, I thought it was only right) Topshop coat, Marc Jacobs bag and Zara scarf.

LDN. PRS. NYC. Photo Diary.

The last 6 months as seen through the lens of my iphone.

Well after finishing my first academic year at university I thought it was time to reflect on the past 6 months, and I'm happy to say they've been pretty darn good ones.
After headed to Paris, a month later I got to intern in NYC, which was a complete dream. Then to top it all off I've been living and studying in London with some of the coolest people.
Needless to say I've come back down from cloud 9 with a bump, Im back home in the country for summer to try and find a job and save some money (and loose some weight, American food takes its toll), but it's not all bad as I'm prepping for Glasto this week...

Best Pizza in NYC

Yup, it's a pretty bold statement but it honestly is.

Arturo's has apparently been in NYC since the 1920's and it attracts every type of new yorker for it's renowned pie.
I had a margarita pizza, which was incredible in itself, but on top of that with cheese topped garlic bread, big fat shrimp and a side of bolognese it was pretty incredible and I can't recommend this place enough.
I do encourage booking as this place gets pretty busy but it's worth popping your nose in regardless.
