Next & Marc Cain Spring/Summer 2015

A week or so ago I attended the Next and Marc Cain Spring/Summer press days.
It was really amazing to see the up and coming trends for next year, and may I say there are some corkers!
I started the day at Uni so I went for comfort in a Denim jacket, ripped jeans and a snuggly tartan scarf.

The true gem of the Next S/S in my eyes is the home wear, this was my favorite collection within the home section with earthy tones and copper accents it was just perfection. I WANT IT ALL.

Moving onto the clothes, the colour ways Next chose were very fresh with a palette of greens, blue's and reds with some real stand out prints such as the graphic print cami (below).

My favorite piece is the white dungarees, absolutely adorable and perfect for summer with a little cropped tee underneath with converse!

They had also put a little twist on classic pieces, and it was great to see the wide leg trouser made a return.

Who doesn't just want need that drumstick bag?!

Next had also released a beauty range with super cute packaging!
The eye and lip crayons I am dying to give a go.

Next on the agenda was Marc Cain.
Quite a new designer to me but I absolutely adored the clothes, especially the jackets and coats! Me and Gemma fawned over every coat.

Again another fresh colour scheme but with pastel blues and corals being the stand out colours for me.
Plus who doesn't love an embellished collar?

To end the day we watched the Oxford Circus lights being switched on.
ITS OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS.

Poppies and Breakfast

Today we visited the magnificent poppies at the Tower of London.
The Tower walls are surrounded by thousands of ceramic red poppies, each individually hand placed into the ground with the final one being laid on the 11th of November to mark remembrance day.

If you can get down to see them I would thoroughly recommend it, I believe they have extended the poppies until the end of November but they have already started taking them down so get down ASAP.

It was a beautifully crisp, clear evening so we decided to wander one of my favorite cafe's: The Breakfast Club.

The Breakfast Club is renowned in London for its amazing food, if you can get down there for breakfast then do but if you (like myself)  tend to avoid queuing I recommend going around 5 pm.  I know its not exactly breakfast time but the food tastes awesome whatever time of day and its not just breakfast they do, they have killer burgers aswell...

I had the 'Breakfast club club sandwich'
Chicken, bacon, avo, lettuce and melted cheese served with slaw and leaves.
This was hands down the best club sandwich I've had.

Gabby had the 'All american breakfast'
Bacon, pancakes, poached eggs, sausages and potatoes.
Just look...

SKATE

Today things got very christmassy.
We decided to take a trip to the snazzy new ice rink which has just opened at Somerset House.
At one end is the most amazing tree decked out in blue, gold and silver baubauls with mini Fortnum and Mason hampers. Too pretty to resist a picture, or 10.

Scarf- Zara   Jeans- Billabong    Top- Brandy Melville   Cardigan- Warehouse

We then proceeded to hit the ice, some had more grace than others as I proceeded to fall flat on my ass.

We then retired with some hot chocolate and watched the other skaters do their thing, a lot more gracefully than myself.

This year Fortnum and Mason have set up shop here with their own glorious little christmas emporium full to the rafters with food and gifts.

On the way back home we dropped into Sugar Sin, a cute little sweet shop in Covent Garden.
It was too pretty not share...
